The Brain Injury Support Group Alliance Bringing Peer Support to Pennsylvania

The committee members plan to continue the work of assisting in the creation of additional peer support groups in the Greater Pittsburgh region to serve the needs of people who experience Brain Injury and their caregivers.

Most recently, we have received several requests for the Support Group Development Tools. People in Ireland, Nevada, Florida, Indiana and Minnesota have requested these tools.

The Peer Support Network is growing.

New  group has formed in Erie to address the interests and needs of adults recovering from Brain Injury.

Individuals striving to overcome the hidden consequences of Brain Injury to achieve or maintain increased levels of independence and community functioning are encouraged to attend.

This meeting is a collaborative endeavor between members of the Brain Injury Support Group Alliance and individuals residing in Erie, PA.

Anyone interested in attending this meeting or helping to create or facilitate new peer support groups, please click here to contact John Pistorius.

We have tools available to people interested in developing a peer support group or focus group meeting. Members of the Brain Injury Support Group Alliance provide hands on assistance, email newsletter notification, aid in generating Meeting Notice Posters, Brochures, Press Releases and much more.
